West Ave Backsplash in Castle Hills, TX

Executing this Castle Hills kitchen

Handmade ceramic subway tile with contrasting dark grout. Full outlet realignment included.

This install came together in the kind of residential context that defines Castle Hills. We showed up with the right tooling for the job, kept the site clean through the install, and left the owner with a surface built to the specs we quoted — not corners cut to save a half-day.

Backsplash install around real-world obstacles

Kitchen backsplashes get complicated fast — outlets, under-cabinet lighting, range hoods, window sills. We mapped every obstacle before cutting anything and ordered extra tile to cover the inevitable waste from complex cuts. The install reads as clean around every outlet and transition because we didn't rush any of them.

Grout choice behind a working range

Behind a range the tile and grout see heat, oil splatter, and daily cleaning. We used an epoxy grout in the splatter zone — more expensive and harder to work with than cement grout, but it won't stain from oil and holds up to any kitchen cleaner. Twenty years from now the backsplash will still look like day one.
