Bandera Rd Kitchen Floor in Leon Valley, TX

How we approached this Leon Valley home

Large-format wood-look porcelain over a leveled 1970s slab. Three days from demo to grout.

This install came together in the kind of residential context that defines Leon Valley. We showed up with the right tooling for the job, kept the site clean through the install, and left the owner with a surface built to the specs we quoted — not corners cut to save a half-day.

What the install involved

This install started with a full demo of the existing floor down to the slab, moisture testing before we committed to a mortar system, and a leveling pass to flatten the substrate. The tile went down over a crack-isolation membrane, which keeps minor slab movement from telegraphing up into the grout joints — important in older San Antonio homes where slab settlement is normal.

Why the owner chose us

We came out, measured on site, and gave a written quote the same visit — no three-day wait, no vague verbal numbers. The owner wanted to know exactly what the job would cost and when it would be done, and we delivered both on the first visit. The job wrapped on the day we'd scheduled.
